The
Way to Wyatt's House
with illustrator Mary Morgan
“I
started this story when I was staying at a bed and breakfast on
Bainbridge Island,Washington, where I was doing school programs.
I noticed an historical marker for The Wyatt House and also happened
to have just
visited my new nephew named Wyatt in New York. Toss in the various
barnyard animals and ducks around the pond at the B&B and suddenly
there was inspiration for this story.”

Review
“The
small boy and girl narrators walk through a country landscape
to their friend Wyatt’s house and spend a wonderful
day playing with all of the farm animals. The visit
ends with a parade of children, animals, and music.
. .the central part of the book is the sounds,
shown on each page in large letters. Small children will seize the
opportunity to join in with hearty quacks, woofs,
and cock-a-doodle-doos and will enjoy this pleasant
outing.” School Library Journal
